PRETERM BIRTH & PREVENTION
RESOURCES FOR PATIENTS

Babies born preterm, before 37 weeks of pregnancy, can experience major health problems and lifelong disabilities. Preterm birth is also the leading cause of infant death in Ohio. While anyone can have a preterm birth, some women are at greater risk. If you are pregnant or planning to have a baby it is important to understand if you are at risk of having a preterm term birth and how progesterone can help give your baby a healthy start.
