Self-Care
Action Plan for Mood Changes During Pregnancy and Postpartum and Self Care Plan: Lifeline for Moms has created an action plan for patients experiencing mood changes while pregnant or after having a baby. A self-care plan can be a useful tool to help you take care of your wellness needs, and those of your baby.
Treatment Support
Perinatal Outreach and Encouragement for Moms (POEM) provides peer support, resources, referrals, a sense of community, education, and advocacy opportunities to help moms and birthing persons in Ohio feel heard, understood, and empowered.
POEM Rise - Black Mental Health: Rise is a branch of POEM created by and for Black moms and birthing persons as they are more likely to experience perinatal mental health complications yet less likely to receive quality care and support. They provide peer support and care navigation by and for Black moms and birthing persons.
Maternal Mental Health National Hotline: Pregnant or just had a baby? The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline is free, confidential, and here to help, 24/7. The National Mental Health Hotline has updated its contact number to better serve pregnant and postpartum individuals. Our new number, 1-833-TLC-MAMA (852-6262), is designed to provide efficient support for those in need of mental health assistance.
988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States by calling or texting 988, or via chat @ 988lifeline.org.
