CARE Project
Current CARE site partners across Ohio
Ohio ranks in the lower third nationally for maternal morbidity and mortality and infant mortality, with significantly poor health outcomes. To improve maternity care, the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) is supporting OPQC’s CARE Project that aligns with the Joint Commission "Excellent Health Outcomes for All" certification: use of accurate patient demographics, use of patient feedback to develop action plans, and assessment and response to health-related social needs.
In collaboration with DCY and the Ohio Hospital Association, OPQC has launched two waves of The CARE Project with a total of18 sites across Ohio. Recruitment for year 3 begins in October 2025.

Hear Her. You could help save a life.
Too many women die each year in this country during pregnancy or in the year postpartum. Every death is a tragedy, especially when more than 80% of pregnancy-related deaths could be prevented.
CDC's Division of Reproductive Health is committed to healthy pregnancies and deliveries for every woman. The Hear Her campaign supports CDC's efforts to prevent pregnancy-related deaths by sharing potentially life-saving messages about urgent maternal warning signs.
